Who is this pass for?
Just about any Venice visitor staying overnight
If you sleep in Venice, you almost always take at least 4–6 vaporetto rides — station to hotel, to St. Mark's, back at night. The pass pays off almost every time.
Island hoppers
If you want to visit Murano, Burano or Torcello, vaporetto is unavoidable — a one-way single costs almost as much as a 24h pass.
Youth (6–29 years)
With the Rolling Venice variant you pay only €33 instead of €45 on the 72h pass — the cheapest way to cover longer stays.
Honestly — where this pass falls short
We don't hide anything. Things you should know before buying:
- In high season the vaporetti are extremely crowded between 10 am and 6 pm — on the San Marco–Rialto–station stretch you might miss the first boat.
- Aerobus and Alilaguna to the airport are NOT included — if you arrive there, you need a separate ticket.
- The activation at the yellow "Tappy" validator before each boarding can confuse at first — skip it and you're technically fare-dodging.
- Gondolas, traghetti and private water taxis aren't in the pass — a traditional gondola ride costs separately.

Das 72-Stunden-Ticket war für uns Gold wert: Murano, Burano, Lido — alles drin, keine Einzeltickets mehr nötig. Bei der Anreise vom Flughafen mit Alilaguna kombinierbar.
Wir hatten den 7-Tage-Pass und sind sogar zum Festland und Lido gefahren. Easy zu nutzen, einfach an der gelben Säule abscannen vor Boarding.
24 h reichten für unseren Tagestrip locker. Die Vaporetto-Linie 1 fährt langsamer (Canal-Grande-Tour gleich inklusive), Linie 2 ist die Express-Variante — beides im selben Pass.
Funktioniert. Aber: Mai-Nachmittage sind die Vaporetti zwischen San Marco und Rialto richtig voll, wir konnten zweimal nicht einsteigen. Tipp: morgens vor 9 Uhr oder nach 20 Uhr fahren.
Die Rolling-Venice-Variante für unter 30-Jährige ist ein klarer No-Brainer. Beim Buchen Geburtsdatum nicht vergessen.
In der Hauptsaison so überfüllt, dass die Boote gefühlt nicht mehr für Touristen, sondern für Pendler gedacht waren. Außerhalb der Saison (November war ich) ist es deutlich entspannter.
